respect for the environment

Will we be able to leave a little better world to our children than we have found?
We believe that environmental protection must always be at the center of attention.

To make beer you need heat. At Kauss we obtain it through a wood-fired boiler, powered by timber from our Varaita Valley (sawmills, agriculture).

Furthermore, thanks to the photovoltaic system located on our roof, we self-produce the electricity we use. When it is not enough, we buy it – certified energy from 100% renewable sources – from a local supplier. The by-products of the processing (threshing) are intended for animal feed

There are no secrets, it’s all in the sunlight, and in the rain.

It is a team effort, always being there is not easy but possible. Both the brewery and the countryside require time and energy but by joining forces and skills it is possible to cope with ever-increasing commitments.

Growing according to the organic farming method * means giving you the certainty of finding a clean and environmentally friendly beer in each glass. We also do not use synthetic products (weeding operations are always done mechanically and not chemically).

Every time you drink Kauss you know you have chosen a product with deep roots, which respects the earth and its times; for this, season after season, we alternate the cultivated varieties in order to avoid stress and soil depletion, helping it to reinvigorate itself.

KAUSS FOR SOCIAL

A few years ago we got to know the activities of the Federica Pelissero center (part of the L’Airone association) based in Manta di Saluzzo.

Among these activities is the APES project to which we have been participating for some time.

The goal of the project is to encourage the inclusion of disabled people in the world of work.
